• Welcome to the website of The Polytechnic Library. The Polytechnic Library is one of the four constituent college libraries of the University of Malawi. Others being Chancellor College, College of Medicine and Kamuzu College of Nursing Libraries.

  The Library is the heart of The Polytechnic and it is an integral part of the University of Malawi`s mission which revolves around teaching, research, consultancy, and public and community engagement.

  The Polytechnic Library plays a central role in ensuring the fulfilment of core academic initiatives, of the Malawi Polytechnic. The Library strives to provide a dynamic information service to its clientele in order to give a practical meaning to the University of Malawi`s vision as a centre of excellence in higher education for sustainable development of Malawi and the region.

  The Library maintains a collection which serves the five faculties namely: Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Built Environment, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Education and Media Studies, and Faculty of Engineering. These resources are in both print and electronic.

  Our competent librarians are there to provide timely responses to your academic and research information needs. You are encouraged to consult with our librarians for assistance with information searching and referencing as much as possible as you access our rich collections in both print and electronic formats. You may also bring your laptop in our libraries and enjoy wireless network access to the Internet.
